Mr. Paulsen grew up in South Bend, Indiana, and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2015 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Poverty Studies and Policy. Mr. Paulsen earned his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 2020. Mr. Paulsen comes to Durango from a strong criminal defense background as a former public defender in the Colorado Springs and Pueblo trial offices. Mr. Paulsen is a zealous courtroom advocate, experienced in representing folks accused of crimes ranging from minor traffic violations to significant felonies. Mr. Paulsen has also handled a wide variety of family law cases including divorce, child custody, and protection orders.
